Many professionals, such as attorneys and insurance adjusters, need to determine the health of their clients. This information can be used in a wide range of applications, from carrying out a personal injury lawsuit to determining the best insurance plan for an individual. As the representative for your client, you have the responsibility to collect detailed, unbiased medical information on their behalf.
If you have a client in New Jersey that has experienced muscle or joint pain, they need to visit an orthopedic clinic for an evaluation. A doctor who provides independent medical evaluations will examine them and diagnose the most suitable treatment. Here is how an orthopedist can help to resolve their pain.
During an evaluation, the orthopedist will go over your client's medical history and discuss their mobility and current pain level. They will then perform a physical exam to better understand what your client is experiencing. The orthopedist may also perform an X-ray or MRI to get a clearer picture of the problem. They will then provide a diagnosis and discuss the treatment options that are available.
After receiving a diagnosis, the orthopedist will recommend a course of action. Conditions like carpal tunnel or a sprain can be treated by wearing a brace or a splint, for example. Physical therapy might also be recommended as a form of treatment. However, some conditions will require surgery to resolve.
Surgeries can vary in terms of invasiveness. Arthroscopies and hand surgeries are less invasive and have shorter recovery times than other types of surgery. Serious injuries may require reconstructive surgery, in which a part of the musculoskeletal system has to be rebuilt. You and your client will receive detailed information regarding your client's medical condition and the best path forward.
